“I stayed here for a couple of nights and was very impressed. The location is gorgeous and the rooms were very clean and well equipped with modern good quality fittings etc, but the best thing was the friendly and co-operative atmosphere. “A wonderful old cotswold building with an updated interior but still retaining some of the old charm. Two well-kept real ales along with an extensive array of other beers. Good quality food is served mainly in the conservatory that has wonderful views out across the Stroud valley.” - Robert, March 2025

“We didn't stay, but had food in the pub. Their Greek food was amazing and the beef stifado is highly recommended. It mouthwatering delicious and if you are in the area, definitely worth a detour for this amazing dish.” - Jan, March 2025

“Went up to the Star Inn, Whiteshill for Sunday lunch today. An amazing experience, Roast Beef and Turkey, with all the trimmings including fresh seasonal vegetables. “Awesome place. Amazing views from the beer garden. We stayed in a suite, which was amazing, loads of room and a really comfortable bed. Reasonably priced pub serving great food with friendly staff. “Stayed at this comfortable hotel for one night over the bank holiday weekend. Very nice reception and shown to our room. Room very clean and tidy. Bathroom a good size with a lovely shower. Offered a cooked breakfast which we did not take up as we were going to family. We will definitely stay again.” - September 2024
